I was pleasantly surprised by the recently released comic book movie, RED. It was a refreshing goofy and way entaining movie with some of the best work by it's actors who seem to have just as much fun with it as it's viewers. I loved this movie even if it's over the top at parts, but at least it was never boring. Here's 10 reasons to love it:
1.Bruce Willis, Here in one of his better funny roles minus unfunny Tracey Morgan. Still can handle the action and is great with his comedy timing.
2.Karl Urban, great as the CIA badass.
3.Mary Louise Parker, haven't reaily seen her in many movies but she made a good love interest for Bruce Willis.
4. The amazing fight scene between Bruce and Karl. Back in the saddle again.
5.John Malkovich as well, crazy guy by John Malkovich!
6.Helen Mirren as ultra cool foxy old lady packing heat!
7.Bit parts by Richard Dreyfuss and Ernest Borgnine,both get well round characters. Great fun for movie buffs like myself to yell at the screen.
8.Kitchen shootout, Helen at full kickass mode switching machine gun to machine gun.
9.TIE: between The bomb strapped to John and just the action in general. The action is actually Hong Kong style instead of the lame ass shaky camera action that makes viewers go seasick. Great shootouts thurout.
10. Short and simple the money poster shots such as all 3 Main RED males actors in the same shot.
